We've just finished our yummy Thanksgiving meal, very tasty if I do say so myself. We had Roast Turkey, Mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, homeade cranberry, pumpkin pie, corn casserole, rolls, gravy, and of course cranberry cornbread stuffing. Everything turned out well even though I had to do most of the cooking since mom is under the weather... The family is all fighting and watching football now:-))) The dogs and are going for a walk.
In the spirit of giving thanks, I would like to say how thankful I am for my life and friends. All of my friends, family and extended family, I thank you for being you and for being part of my life!

Tired...
Its been a really busy weekend! We did the Ocala shows the last four days, not really much to speak of. Rosy showed well the first two days was WB(1pt), RWB and then dumped the last two days. I'm glad I did it, we certainly weren't ready for her to enter a herding trial with her new found girly hormones! Lily was entered today just for some experience and she did really well. Especially considering when she came here almost two months ago, her world was rocked and she wasn't real sure she liked it. Everyone was suspect except for me after the first couple days. She did a wonderful job and I'm happy with that! So we are back to the grindstone tomorrow and a BUSY week ahead with herding lessons and Thanksgiving ( have to find a BIG turkey tomorrow) Can't wait I love this holiday because I love tradition and tradition in our family is often food. Cinder (now Bella) is coming for a visit and I get to see Buzz (still Buzz:-)) so it will be a fun but very busy week. Now off to bed!

Uncooperative puppies
I guess that is the story of my life. I would like you to notice the tape on the ears. I finally had enough of floppy beagle/hound ears and thought "these ears are going to stand!". See
picture two...
What is this puppies problem, crazy perhaps??? Note pic #3

Puppy (Nemo) has made a new record for tape removal in less than 36hrs, but he would like to give some credit to his fellow puppies (in pics to follow, should be mug shots!).

and now there are 3...
So now only Nemo, Remy and Dory remain. Nemo is looking for a wonderful pet home and Remy and Dory will be hanging out here, though Dory will probably be looking for a show/performance home in the near future.
I will do my best to get out and take some fun pics this week of the babies. Its been hard to take 5 extra minutes between leash training, livestock care, 3 girls in season and work. I miss my pictures though:-))

Reports
I've been getting fabulous reports about Wish! He is so happy in his new home in the friged West, looks like he is sporting an extra thick coat for his new homeland though:-)) Here he is helping bring the goats in for the winter, good thing too since its already snowed there! Working in the great outdoors like any good Cardigan should;-) Its always wonderful to know that you have placed a dog where he/she truly belongs and I know Wish is where he belongs!I also have gotten several wonderful reports on Flora today. She is fitting in very well with her new family! Last for the time being to leave is Alis tomorrow morning. She will dress out for a flight to RI and also be moving to the cold parts of the country!

Puppy outing
I took the puppies to the Mid FL Sheltie herding trial today. They had a good time visiting all the new people and dogs and causing general trouble:-)) We had the opportunity to do a photo op on a nice background that was set up by the club. The puppies weren't overly cooperative but we did get a few cute pics!
Remy on the hay bale, self stacked! I just love this puppy:-))) He was being a butthead about walking on the leash though...

Laura update!
I've been meaning to post this for a while but just finally getting to it. Here is a pic of Laura and Wendy her new owner.
Laura seems to be getting along famously and enjoying her new queen position in Wendy's home. Wendy writes that she enjoys playing with the neighbor kids and her sisters children as well. I'm so happy that Laura found such a perfect retirement home! She is in her rightful spot in someones arms and being pampered in true queen fashion! Thank you Wendy for being the perfect home for Laura!

Boo update
Here is a pic of Boo, now Merlin, chewing on pumpkins this weekend. He got to attend the Collie Regional herding trial, even got to meet all sorts of people and dogs. Since he was at the secretarys table most everyone got to see him and vice versa:-)) Such a cool puppy and looks really great, thanks Esther and Sherry Lee who I think took these pics!
