Holy Moly!

I don't think the picture actually does the size of her belly justice! She is HUGE, added 2-1/2" in the 4 days I was gone. This is 6 wks to 6-1/2 wks, I'd better get sleep now cause I don't think I'll be getting any once puppies arrive! Abby is still acting wonderful though, wants to run and play with everyone, once she gets out you have to slow her down to see the belly!

Old school Sally:-)

This is Sally and all her littermates on Day 1. They look like little black peas in a pod!
I was looking through old photos and thought I would post a couple Sally pics from a while back.

Sally at 3 weeks, very cute even then I think:-))

This was last summer, when she realized there was a fulltime doggie spa made just for her!:-))

Paw it Forward!

So we opened our fun Paw it Forward package from Taryn at A Tail of Two Cardis, thanks for our fun treats! I love the Salmon treats and conveniently enough I had run out:-)) As you can see Abby likes the Wubba Kong and is now carrying her new treat all over the house. The Sammy snacks are delicious, I'm going to start looking for those now:-)) Yes I am a weirdo that will try dog snacks if they smell good...Heheheee. So as part of the game, the first two people who answer and say they want to join in, I will also send on a package to each! Its lots of fun like Christmas in July:-)))

Babies a comin...and more

Since Holly posted her good news I thought it was high time we did the same:-)) Abby is indeed pregnant and growing daily. She is due about the same time as Lacey, August 13, so we will be having lots of puppy chats! I think I already have a theme for the litter as well, though I'm tweaking it just a bit so will let everyone know when I've finalized it! I'll try and get a pic of Abby, she is usually trying to look miserable and "poor me" when in fact she has been much happier during this pregnancy so far.... I am getting the feeling that it is going to be a larger litter but will wait to say much until she gets some growth on her:-))
Also got a Paw it Forward package but have not opened it yet so will post more on that later, I can hardly wait to get home to see what it is:-))
Finally, I had some unexpected travels come up... next week I'll be flying out to the Houston Cluster, pretty large Cardigan entry, I'm really looking forward to it! I'll get to see Wimby again and watch Cardis too! Hopefully I won't find too much fun stuff to buy though:-)) If anyone is going to be there let me know and we can try and meet up!

Sally is as Sally does...

Thought I would go take pics earlier this pm since we have company coming this evening. It is back to being blistering hot again so no one wanted to do anything much except sit in the shade. Cute though the girls and Rudys butt under the only shade on the way back to the kennels.

Evy getting some attention in the shade too. Such a funny girl, healing great! I hope this settles her hormones and we can finish her HC this Fall!

Perpetual Sally. If I named pictures this would be "Sallyness"...

Well that looks like a dog smile to me, probably laughing at me upside down on the ground trying to get this picture, its the only way it wasn't overexposed.

Finally holding still for a pic! Still trying to go help the other girls get into trouble with the sheep and goats! If its not one thing its another!:-)) Silly little Sally girl, my Sally girl:-)))

4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone!
The dogs and I enjoyed a nice pretty restful day. Got lambs wormed again... Sally has been getting worked daily now since Evy and Abby are on surgery/maternity leave. I LOVE this little dog!!! I believe every dog comes into our lives for a reason, whether to teach us, show us, or leave us, Sally was meant to be with me.. and she helps teach me so many things:-)) So since I missed her 3rd Bday in June, July will be Sallys month.

This is the sky on our walk this afternoon. I love cool cloud formations! We are getting a heck of a rain storm now but I loved watching it roll in.
Sally leading the pack with Rudy (going for the tail grab), Laura and Abby respectively. Yes both Abby and Sally have to carry something when they do their scoot, I guess it runs in the family.

Faith this afternoon, this reminds me of a picture of one of her half sibs, whom we have lost... So in honour of Coel this is Faith's bunny rabbit impression.

Of course I can't leave out my best boy, Beli! Such a love and so happy! I feel so blessed to still have my "old guy", with so many deep losses in Cardidom lately its really made me appreciate his longevity!

Sally leaving those following in the dust and those trying to head her, well she blew through them too:-)) Still has the same hoof in her mouth from the previous pic, and she wasn't even tired when everyone else finally gave up...
Lastly, Wish went to his new home yesterday! He did wonderful on the trip and it truly sounds like this is the home where he was meant to be! I got wonderful updates and pics already. Wish looks so happy and just looks like he is home. It was hard to see him go, I actually got teary but I know now, more than ever, this is his HOME!
