Life changes....

Well this post is a long time coming... My life has been a crazy messed up rollercoaster for the better part of a year now.  Not much dog news but I'll get to that... I am only 5 wks from finishing school.  For those of you that don't know I bailed on nursing school, when doors are continually closed you really need to ask yourself why???? I did just that and decided that maybe the nursing profession just wasn't for me.  I chose to go into Histology instead.  Most of you are asking yourself just what exactly is that?? I get that A LOT!  A Histotechnician prepares tissue on slides for pathologists to read and give a diagnosis, thats the simple answer:-))  It is a complex and specialized profession.  I do hope that I am able to find a job here in the state once I pass the National ASCP exam!  I do think this will fit my personality much better that nursing.  I am in my externship now and enjoying it quite a bit!

Personally my life has changed dramatically!  I lost a lot of weight last year and decided to make some different choices to go along with that so I am actually training for the Tough Mudder in Tampa, FL this November.  If you aren't familiar with it look it up, you'll know I'm crazy then!  Lots of running and weight training this year:-))  I never even run a 5K so maybe its silly but my 2 siblings and I will be there and do our very best, lets hope its good enough.

Gone to the dogs.... Well I did take a step back from all things dog after my NM trip last August.  I needed it to become healthy and happy again.  I entered one trial in January this year with Patsy.  She ran AHBA HRDIII-s and was HIT both days with Very good scores.  I was happy overall with her and the way she ran.  She is young yet and I am hoping to get out and trial her for more ASCA titles this Fall and AKC stuff next year.  Rosy is the only other dog I'm working now and she has recently been bred( I will announce particulars later) so she will be off work until further notice.  I am down to 5 dogs now and things are good.

Life throws you curve balls and you just never know where you might end up but right now I think I'm on the road that I should be.  More later in the week I've got a 4am shift this week again at the hospital so I've got to be up really early.
